Persian Sun
by CJ Frei
Lyrics
Verse 1
The dust of Persia filled the sky
As bronze met dawn beneath the sun
For years we'd held the mountain pass...
Now the march had just begun
The Sons of the Wolf pressed ever east
Where mighty kings had built their throne
The empire that once sought our end...
Would now defend its own
Pre-Chorus
The tide has turned...
The years have passed...
The hunter...
Has become the storm.
Chorus
Persian Sun!
Burn above our heads!
Guide the Wolves
Where our fathers bled
From Thermopylae...
To Persia's gates...
We carry every brother
Who challenged fate
Verse 2
Their marble halls reached toward the heavens
Their banners covered endless land
Yet every empire learns one lesson...
No kingdom stands
Against determined men.
The ghosts of Sparta marched beside us
Leonidas still led the way
His blood lived on within our ranks
Though he had fallen years away
Pre-Chorus
We do not seek...
A crown of gold...
We seek...
To finish what our fathers started.
Chorus
Persian Sun!
Shine upon the brave!
The Sons of the Wolf
Do not fear the grave
Every step...
Every scar...
Every oath...
Has brought us this far
Bridge
Look around, my brothers...
The empire before us
Is the same
That once believed
Three hundred men
Could be erased...
They were wrong.
We are still here.
Final Chorus
Persian Sun!
Witness history!
The Wolf still marches
Strong and free
Empires rise...
Empires fall...
But courage outlives
Them all
Raise the wolf-banner
High above the sky!
The Sons of Leonidas...
Will never die.
Outro
The sun sets...
The Wolf...
Marches on.
