Each song generation costs 10 credits and produces 2 unique variations. Free users get 30 credits to try the platform. Pro subscribers get a weekly or monthly credit pool. Most actions cost 10 credits: generating, extending, replacing sections, adding vocals/instrumental, stem separation, remastering, and AI lyrics. AI cover art costs 5 credits (free for Pro). Credits never expire and roll over between billing cycles. Failed generations are automatically refunded.

SoundLab offers four AI models: SL v5.5 (Pro only — newest, smartest, improved vocals), SL v5 (excellent vocal clarity and audio quality), SL v4.5+ (experimental and advanced styles), and SL v4.5a (strong variety across genres). Each model has different strengths, so you can pick the best one for your track.

SoundLab goes far beyond generation. You can Extend songs (add new sections), Replace a Section (swap any 6–60 second part), Add Vocals to instrumentals, Add Instrumental backing to a cappella, Stem Separation (split into vocal + instrumental), Remaster with genre-specific AI mastering, and generate AI Cover Art. All editing tools cost 10 credits each.

Voice cloning lets you create a custom AI vocal model from a short 10–30 second recording of your singing voice. Once cloned, the AI can generate songs that sing in a voice that sounds like you. It's a Pro feature — no credit cost, and you can have up to 3 cloned voices.

Pro subscribers can download songs as MP3 or lossless WAV, then distribute to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, TikTok, and 150+ platforms through our partner DistroKid (SoundLab users get an exclusive 7% discount). You can also add your streaming links back to your SoundLab profile and songs.

Yes! Songs you create on SoundLab AI are yours to use. Pro subscribers get full commercial usage rights for their generated tracks, perfect for content creators, podcasters, and indie artists.

There's a personalized For You feed, Trending charts updated every 4 hours, and Staff Picks curated by our team. You can build a public profile, gain followers, and share songs to Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit. Creators can also allow others to remix their public tracks.
