Suffocating Air

Lyrics

Intro
Seal the vents
Lock the door
Hear the metal
Beg for more
Breathe it in
Breathe it in
Suffocating air

Verse 1
I wake in a room of iron skin
Cold teeth biting through my grin
The ceiling crawls like a loaded blade
Every pulse in my throat gets caved
Hands on glass, but the glass leans back
Black thoughts marching on a broken track
I hear my name in the fan's dead whine
Pulled through ribs like a crooked line

Pre-Chorus
Close it up
Let it sink
Count the seconds
Watch me blink
Pressure climbs
Walls go thin
Something ancient
Moving in

Chorus
Suffocating air
Suffocating air
Lock it in
Lock it in
Suffocating air
Suffocating air
Bite my lungs
Feed the grin
(too close) (too close)
(too close) (too close)

Verse 2
Rust in the blood, and the floor starts to hum
Every little lie in my mouth turns numb
I drag my shadow through a broken frame
It follows slow like it knows my name
Needles of light in the ceiling seam
Cutting out pieces of a half-made scream
The walls keep breathing on my spine
Like a machine with a savage mind

Pre-Chorus
Close it up
Hear it crack
Nothing human
Coming back
Pressure climbs
Then it bends
Hollow body
No more ends

Chorus
Suffocating air
Suffocating air
Lock it in
Lock it in
Suffocating air
Suffocating air
Bite my lungs
Feed the grin
(too close) (too close)
(too close) (too close)

Verse 3
Now the room wears my face like rust
Every breath tastes like choking dust
I see the dark with a second eye
And it smiles when I try to hide
Drums in the pipework, slow and mean
Ghosts in the gauge with a sick machine sheen
If I fall, let the floor hold tight
If I break, let it happen tonight
