The Traveler

Lyrics

(Verse 1)
Well, she started out a farm girl with a secret in her soul
A little slip of nothing that the Magic couldn’t hold
She stepped through the corners, through the fabric of the sky
Before she learned to pigtail or to look you in the eye
Then came the heavy hitters, the hunters in the night
They tried to cage a hurricane and bring her to the light
But you can’t catch a shadow when the shadow starts to roam
She found a bunch of Knights and she called the Grimnoir home.
(Chorus)
Oh, she’s the Spellbound, she’s the Traveler, she’s the blur
Don’t you blink an eye or you’ll be looking where she were
From the dust of Oklahoma to the belly of the beast
She’s the deadliest little lady from the West out to the East
With a smart mouth and a shotgun and a rift in space and time
Being Sally Faye is a god-fearing crime!
(Verse 2)
The Pale Horse came a-knocking, looking for a fight
Sullivan was punching, but Sally brought the light
She hopped across the ocean, she danced upon the waves
Sending Imperials and Iron Guard to early, dusty graves
She’s got a bit of a temper and a craving for some pie
But she’ll kick a Power’s teeth in before she’ll let ‘em die
In the streets of old Berlin, she was dodging every shell
The girl who walks through walls turned the city into hell!
(Chorus)
Yeah, she’s the Spellbound, she’s the Traveler, she’s the blur
Don’t you blink an eye or you’ll be looking where she were
From the dust of Oklahoma to the belly of the beast
She’s the deadliest little lady from the West out to the East
With a smart mouth and a shotgun and a rift in space and time
Being Sally Faye is a god-fearing crime!
(Bridge)
Then the Enemy came calling, that big eye in the black
The world was on the brink and there was no turning back
Most folks would be shaking, most folks would surely pray
But Sally grabbed the Magic and she looked the other way
She stepped into the center where the stars begin to fade
The ultimate "Stay Out" sign that the universe ever made
She wore the mark of everything, the Alpha and the end
The toughest piece of leather that the Magic couldn’t bend!
(Guitar & Fiddle Solo - Fast and Chaotic)
(Verse 3)
Now if you see a flicker or a ripple in the air
You better check your pockets ‘cause Sally might be there
She’s the knight who keeps on moving, the girl who never stayed
The finest bit of trouble that the Grimnoir ever made
She’s got a destiny to carry, but she carries it with grit
And if you try to stop her, well, you’re gonna get the... kick!
(Outro Chorus)
She’s the Spellbound, she’s the Traveler, she’s the best
Put the Magicals and Peacekeepers to the ultimate test
From the sky down to the trenches, she’s the one who won the war
The girl who walked through everything and then she walked some more!
Yeah, she walked some more!
(Fade out with a final, loud slide guitar riff)
