Pull me Down

Lyrics

Verse 1
I found a tape in the pool
Still warm from your hand
Black little ribbon of moon
Looping the same command

Your face in the glass looked mine
Then split like a crack in ice
I touched the screen with my thumb
And it breathed back twice

Pre-Chorus
Bowls in the dark
Call my name
The room leans in
Then pulls away

Static on skin
Cold and sweet
You came to me
On broken feet

Chorus
NMMHK, stay with me
Under the waves, under the static
NMMHK, stay with me
I know your smile is plastic magic
Pull me down
Pull me down
Say my name
And pull me down

Verse 2
Your shadow wore my old coat
Hung from the mirror edge
The sax came in like smoke
Over a flooded bed

I saw a door in the wall
Behind the blinking blue
One step and I was home
One step and I was you

Pre-Chorus
Bowls in the dark
Call my name
The room leans in
Then pulls away

Glitch in the air
Soft and sharp
You kissed the night
And left a mark

Chorus
NMMHK, stay with me
Under the waves, under the static
NMMHK, stay with me
I know your smile is plastic magic
Pull me down
Pull me down
Say my name
And pull me down

Bridge
Slower, hypnotic breakdown
Harp falls like rain on glass
I watch the whole thing bend
Your voice from the bottom says
This is where we end

Bowl tone, bruised and long
Sax line in a bruise-blue haze
I was never lost
I was only in your phase

Chorus
NMMHK, stay with me
Under the waves, under the static
NMMHK, stay with me
I know your smile is plastic magic
Pull me down
Pull me down
Say my name
And pull me down
