guns and Glocks
by Jay Rizz
Lyrics
Streetlights glow while the cold wind talks,
Heavy thoughts echo on the late-night walks.
Dreams feel big but the pockets stay broke,
Life throws fire, so the strong don't fold.
They talk about an AK hanging on the wall,
A symbol of the pressure when the nights get small.
A Draco in the stories that the old heads tell,
About making wrong turns and ending up in a cell.
A Glock in the waistband ain't peace of mind,
Real strength comes from leaving that behind.
Money on the table, family in the house,
Trying to make it out without the sirens loud.
Everybody wants racks stacked to the sky,
But a fast road fades and the years fly by.
Real ones know that respect ain't fear,
It's standing ten toes when the coast ain't clear.
City full of scars, everybody got pain,
Clouds roll dark but they pray for rain.
Looking at the moon through the cracked-up glass,
Wondering if the hard times ever really pass.
Friends turn strangers, strangers turn foes,
That's just how the story of the block road goes.
Some chase gold, some chase fame,
Some lose everything playing that game.
Mama said, "Son, keep your head up high,
Don't let the streets decide how you live or die."
So I carry my dreams like a chain on my chest,
Trying every single day just to give my best.
They rap about AKs, Dracos, and Glocks,
About counting up money and beating the clock.
But the biggest flex when the day is done,
Is making it home and seeing the sun.
Built from the struggle, made from the fight,
Searching for hope in the middle of the night.
The world gets cold, but the soul stays strong,
Keep moving forward, that's where you belong.Cold nights, bright lights, city never sleeps,
Big dreams, long roads, promises to keep.
Talking about an AK-47 in an old rap tale,
Trying to stay strong when the whole world fails.
Draco in the stories that the block boys tell,
Some made it out, some never broke the spell.
A Glock in the verse, but hope in the heart,
Everybody wants a better place to start.
Stacking up dreams like they stack up racks,
Never looking back when the pressure attacks.
Street signs glow underneath the moon,
Everybody praying that the good days come soon.
Steel and shadows, thunder in the night,
Searching for a reason, searching for the light.
Fast life calling, but the cost runs deep,
Some lose everything they were trying to keep.
Running through the rain with a plan in mind,
Trying to leave the hard days all behind.
The city keeps moving, the clocks don't stop,
Every corner got a story from the bottom to the top.
AK in the lyrics, Draco in the rhyme,
Symbols of the struggle and a different time.
Glock in the story, but a dream in the soul,
Trying to stay steady while chasing the goal.
Money on the table, family on the phone,
Learning that success can't be built alone.
Stars overhead while the sirens sing,
Everybody out here trying to be king.
Concrete jungle with a heart of gold,
Young and ambitious, fearless and bold.
Every setback turns into a lesson learned,
Every bridge crossed leaves another one burned.
No matter what the streets might say,
Keep your eyes locked on a brighter day.
Legends aren't made by the things they hold,
They're made by the courage they choose to show.
Late-night rides with the windows low,
Thinking about the places that we want to go.
From the bottom of the map to the top of the game,
Trying to build a future and a lasting name.
The world gets rough and the road gets steep,
But the strongest hearts are the ones that keep.
Moonlight shining on the avenue,
Writing these lines with a different view.
AK-47, Draco, and a Glock in the song,
But making it home is what makes you strong.
Dream big, stand tall, let your story be told,
A heart full of fire is worth more than gold."Paper & Pressure"
Pocket full of dreams, trying to turn them into gold,
City moves fast, everybody feeling cold.
Talking about money, talking about fame,
Trying to leave a mark and make a name.
Bullets in the stories that the old streets tell,
Some rise up, some fall, some never break the spell.
Guns in the headlines, shadows in the night,
Everybody looking for a reason to fight.
But I'm aiming for the future, not the past,
Building something real that's made to last.
Stacking up the wins, one day at a time,
Turning hard moments into another rhyme.
Dollar signs dancing like stars in the sky,
Dreaming so big that the limits fly by.
Late-night hustle with the moon shining bright,
Keeping hope alive till the morning light.
The block taught lessons that school never could,
Stand on your word and look out for your hood.
Pressure gets heavy, but the heart stays strong,
Keep moving forward when everything feels wrong.
Money comes and goes like the changing tide,
Character's the thing that you can't buy.
Stories about danger echo through the air,
But real strength is making it somewhere.
Concrete roads and a sky full of gray,
Still believing in a better day.
Every scar is proof that the fight was real,
Every step ahead helps the soul heal.
No crown without work,
