Get Freaky

Lyrics

Intro
Get freaky...
get freaky...
I hear you under the floor
get freaky...

Verse 1
Your face goes slack in the mirror
Eyes like pins in the meat
You smile with a broken hinge
I smell the rust in your teeth
Hands on the walls
Counting your pulse
One, two
it's not your own
You came here hungry
Now you’re bone-deep cold

Pre-Chorus
Tick, tick
skin goes thin
Crawl in closer
let it begin
Lock that jaw
hold that scream
You and me
same machine

Chorus
Get freaky
Get freaky
Let it take your name
Get freaky
Get freaky
I’m the thing you became
Get freaky
Get freaky
Scratch through the frame
Get freaky
Get freaky
Never stay the same

Verse 2
I wear your fear like a crown
Black in the back of my skull
Voices chew on my tongue
Make the whole room skull-full
You look at me like a prayer
I look back like a cut
Mouth full of static and smoke
I am the lock
you are the rust
No sleep in this house
No light in these bones
I drag your shadow by the chain
Back to the throne

Pre-Chorus
Tick, tick
skin goes thin
Crawl in closer
let it begin
Lock that jaw
hold that scream
You and me
same machine

Chorus
Get freaky
Get freaky
Let it take your name
Get freaky
Get freaky
I’m the thing you became
Get freaky
Get freaky
Scratch through the frame
Get freaky
Get freaky
Never stay the same

Verse 3
I split my smile in the dark
And it laughs with your voice
Your ribs beat out a warning
But you already made your choice
Come on
crawl through the gate
Taste that cold on your skin
I’m the shape in the corner
I’m the pulse in the grin
When the walls start breathing
And the mirrors bite
You’ll call me by the trouble
You’ll call me tonight

Bridge
Hush now...
feel that wire in your spine
Hush now...
something ancient walks the line
No prayer
no mercy
no clean escape
Just teeth in the static
and the seal of the wake

Breakdown
Get freaky
get freaky
Huh!
Get freaky
get freaky
Break
your shape
Break
your name
I want the room to twitch
I want the room to shake
Get freaky
get freaky
Huh!

Outro
Get freaky...
under your skin
Get freaky...
let the dark come in
Get freaky...
I never leave
Get freaky...
you still believe
