buried in mud

Lyrics

"BURIED WITH THE TRUTH"

Verse 1
Bridges wiped out, everything washed away,
Roads gone, rivers choked, in a single day.
They say "natural disaster" on the evening news,
But where's the proof? Just mud and bruise.

All buried, all buried under the mud,
Houses, histories, bones and blood.
And buried deeper than the landslide scar,
Is the truth about what they really are.

Chorus
Three or four more since then — landslides, flash floods,
Same valley, same pattern, same mud, same blood.
They use the weather as a trigger to shoot the gun,
They use the rain to cover up the bomb.
It's all buried, yeah it's all buried with the truth.

Verse 2
You can't drown a village and call it rain,
You can't erase a people and call it pain.
They play God with the mountains, play God with the sky,
Then point at the clouds when the people die.

Pre-Chorus
And there's more coming — guaranteed,
Same blueprint, different valley, different deed.
So ask yourself...

Chorus - bigger
Where's the next place that they will play God?
Which map will they tear, which land will they rob?
They use the weather as a trigger to shoot the gun,
They use the rain to cover up the bomb.

Outro
This ain't over, this is just the cover,
For the next one.
For the next cover up.
Watch where the water goes next.
