Next Right Step

Lyrics

Verse 1
I came in rough, eyes shut tight
Thought I knew it all that night
But you stayed patient, stood your ground
Showed me a truth I never found

You taught me how to look again
Past my pride and all my spin
To see both sides before I choose
Not every fight is mine to lose

Pre-Chorus
Now I breathe before I speak
I take the road that's hard but clean
One clear step, one honest turn
That peace is something I can learn

Chorus
Thank you, thank you
For showing me the way
Thank you, thank you
For helping me change today
One next right step
One next right choice
I hear that calm
I trust that voice
Thank you, thank you
For helping me change today

Verse 2
Liberty Recovery, you saw my pain
Held the line when I was drained
You taught me sober isn't loss
It's finding out what freedom costs

I can sit with what I've done
I can face it, I won't run
Both sides of life, I see them now
And I don't need to break to bow

Pre-Chorus
I can let my guard come down
I can build from solid ground
Every hard-earned lesson stays
Lighting up these heavy days

Chorus
Thank you, thank you
For showing me the way
Thank you, thank you
For helping me change today
One next right step
One next right choice
I hear that calm
I trust that voice
Thank you, thank you
For helping me change today

I trust that voice
Thank you, thank you
For helping me change today
