Lets Just Have Fun
by CJ Frei
Lyrics
Verse 1
Clock says Friday, sun says "go,"
Windows down, stereo.
Got nowhere that we have to be,
Sounds like the perfect place to me.
Throw the map into the back,
Take the long way, never look back.
Every mile's another chance
To waste a little time on purpose.
Pre-Chorus
Life keeps running...
Slow it down.
Tonight we're making memories
Instead of making plans.
Chorus
Let's just have fun!
Laugh until our faces hurt,
Sing every single wrong word.
Let's just have fun!
Dance like nobody's watching us,
Even if everybody does.
Leave tomorrow
For tomorrow.
Tonight's too good
To let it go.
Come on...
Let's just have fun!
Verse 2
Barefoot footprints in the sand,
Cheap takeout in our hands.
Taking pictures way too late,
Half of 'em we'll accidentally shake.
Who cares?
That's kinda the point.
Perfect moments
Don't have to be perfect.
If the world keeps spinning fast...
We'll just spin a little faster.
Pre-Chorus
Every sunset
Ends too soon.
So let's squeeze
Every second
Out of this one.
Chorus
Let's just have fun!
Turn the speakers way up loud,
Be the happiest ones in the crowd.
Let's just have fun!
No pretending,
No disguise.
Just good hearts
And open skies.
Leave the worries
By the roadside.
We'll pick 'em up...
Maybe never.
Let's just have fun!
Bridge
One day
We'll laugh about tonight.
The wrong turns.
The bad singing.
The terrible dancing.
The stories we'll tell forever.
Turns out...
Those are the best parts.
Final Chorus
Let's just have fun!
Hold on tight,
The night's still young.
Raise a glass
To everyone
Who's learning life
Isn't meant to be won...
It's meant to be lived.
Let's just have fun!
Laugh a little louder.
Love a little longer.
Stay a little later.
The stars are out...
The radio's on...
And right here,
Right now...
Life is pretty beautiful.
So...
Let's just have fun.
Outro
No regrets.
No countdown.
No reason.
Just us.
Let's just have fun.
