Crossing The Void

Lyrics

Verse 1
From the carrier glow, we came in line
USS shangri'la cutting hard through time
USS Yamato on the left flank, steel and fire
USS wyvern with the scan lights blazing higher

Terrain clouds ahead, black sand and stone
The empire wakes up when the thrusters moan
ISS banners hanging like a bruise in the dark
Two mirror hulls waiting with a matched-up spark

Pre-Chorus
Raise the shields
Lock the course
Names in the void
Hit with force

Chorus
Shangri'la, Yamato
Wyvern, take the line
ISS Yamato
ISS shangri'la, collide

Shangri'la, Yamato
Hold that broken sky
We don't bend
We don't run
We arrive

Verse 2
ISS shangri'la slid out from the storm
Cold gold trim and a warped command form
ISS Yamato rolled with a predator's grace
Same old flags, but a stranger's face

Wyvern called out, "They're ours in skin"
Same hull bones, but the soul within
Then the first volleys cracked like glass on the ice
Every mirror learned the cost of vice

Pre-Chorus
Raise the shields
Hear the cry
One side falls
One side flies

Chorus
Shangri'la, Yamato
Wyvern, take the line
ISS Yamato
ISS shangri'la, collide

Shangri'la, Yamato
Hold that broken sky
We don't bend
We don't run
We arrive

Bridge
In the crossfire, names got loud
Two empires reaching through the cloud
One for honor, one for claim
Same four words, not the same

Final Chorus
Shangri'la, Yamato
Wyvern, take the line
ISS Yamato
ISS shangri'la, collide

Shangri'la, Yamato
Strike and split the night
Starfleet holds
Terrain folds
We survive

Shangri'la, Yamato
Wyvern, take the line
Shangri'la, Yamato
Burning side by side
