Ice Cream Scream

Lyrics

Intro
Cold in the tray
White in the glass
I hear it scrape
I hear it laugh

Verse 1
Paper cup shaking
Under my thumb
Sweet little stain
On the tip of my tongue
I saw the spoon
Like a tiny blade
Round and round
Till the grin got made

Pre-Chorus
Hush now
Don’t look down
It’s coming back
Through the ground
Hush now
Hear that sound
Something woke up
In the pound

Chorus
Ice cream scream
Ice cream scream
It melts my teeth
It splits the dream
Ice cream scream
Ice cream scream
Say my name
And feed the machine

Verse 2
Chrome on the walls
Blink like eyes
Drip on the floor
Like severed lies
I took one lick
Then the room went thin
The bell in my chest
Let the hunger in

Pre-Chorus
Hush now
Don’t look down
It’s coming back
Through the ground
Hush now
Hear that sound
Something woke up
In the pound

Chorus
Ice cream scream
Ice cream scream
It melts my teeth
It splits the dream
Ice cream scream
Ice cream scream
Say my name
And feed the machine

Breakdown
Crack
Pop
Black frost in my jaw
Tick
Tock
I got no skin at all
Run that
One more time
Let it bite
Let it climb

Verse 3
I wore the taste
Like a warning sign
Frozen bright
In the back of my mind
Kids at the fence
With their sticky hands
But the thing in the cone
Never takes commands

Bridge
I am the freezer
I am the grin
I am the little voice
That lives within
Turn me over
Pull me apart
Hear that tiny howl
In the hollow heart

Breakdown
Ice on the tongue
Metal in the throat
Slow-motion chew
On a broken note
Scream
Scream
Scream
Till the whole room shakes
Scream
Scream
Scream
Till the false face breaks

Chorus
Ice cream scream
Ice cream scream
It melts my teeth
It splits the dream
Ice cream scream
Ice cream scream
Say my name
And feed the machine

Outro
Cold in the tray
White in the glass
I hear it scrape
I hear it laugh
Ice cream scream
Ice cream scream
Gone too deep
To let it pass
