Lyrics

Intro
Mouths in the doorframe
Metal on my tongue
Cold in the basement
Something’s almost done

Verse 1
I found you by the sink
Hands white from the light
You said keep it low
So I kept it tight
A stain on your sleeve
Like a map of some place
You smiled too slow
With that hollow face

Pre-Chorus
So pour it slow
Let it stay
Don’t say my name
Just look away
The room leans in
The air turns thin
I hear the gears
Under your skin

Chorus
Taste the dark
On your tongue
We sink slow
We come undone
(share this wine) (share this wine)

Verse 2
There’s a hook in the wall
Where the shadows hang
Every tick in the hall
Sounds like a warning bang
You left your shoes
By the busted chair
I saw two wet prints
That were never there
The glass kept sweating
Like it knew your name
I laughed in the corner
Then I felt the same

Pre-Chorus
So pour it slow
Let it stay
Don’t say my name
Just look away
The room leans in
The air turns thin
I hear the gears
Under your skin

Chorus
Taste the dark
On your tongue
We sink slow
We come undone
(share this wine) (share this wine)

Verse 3
Now the floorboards breathe
When I pass by
And the mirror blinks
With a borrowed eye
You tap that glass
Like a lock in a jaw
I try to leave
But I’m already yours
The taste gets iron
The room gets small
I see my face
On the back of the wall

Bridge
Say it back
In that broken voice
Say it back
You never had a choice
The wires twitch
The teeth click clean
I was built for this
Dream inside a machine

Breakdown
Share it
Share it
Crack the seal
Share it
Share it
Make it real
No prayer
No cure
Just the pulse
In the floor
Till it begs for more

Chorus
Taste the dark
On your tongue
We sink slow
We come undone
(share this wine) (share this wine)
