the biggest takeaways we are given through recovery is being capable to be strong in the face of diversity doing whatever we must do to work through some of our most shameful and painful situations we have went through in our past being willing to do anything to face are worse demons that would be there to keep us from our life in sobriety being able to hold our heads high and proud of the accomplishments we work so hard to make becoming some one that can look in the mirror and say that I love myself for the hard path we have chosen praying for the ones still lost and blinded by addiction feeling blessed within the new life we are living having hope for the future being able to have no more fear to face our addiction head on clean and sober making the next right step to change our path being grateful for who we have become and for the new path we have chosen knowing that the past doesn't predict your future no more pain no more shame holding you down not free from the disease but knowing how to keep the beast came growing and learning how to break the insane cycle of addiction to have much brighter days in the future clean and sober we ride freeing our minds body and spirits from change that used to keep us down in isolation no more running no more hiding in desperation facing this life our fight using or sweat or tears even when the days are gray in the nights or dark confident in the things we have learned fulfilling the life we were always worth becoming a community of family and friends being there to help one another in this fight that never ends becoming the bosses we were meant to be to lead our life cleaning sober within the light with God by your sides
