backroed weekend

Lyrics

Title: “Backroad Weekend”
Verse 1
Last weekend me and my buddy rolled
Out to my stepbrother’s down that road
Back roads playing, music loud
Windows down, feeling proud
Bass hitting hard, dust in the air
Sun going down without a care
Pulled up quick, didn’t waste no time
He tossed the keys and said, “Let’s ride.”
Chorus
So we grabbed the keys and took off fast
Four-wheelers flying on a dirt road path
Laughing loud with the sky so wide
Nothing but freedom on our side
Rode through fields till we saw that light
Big bonfire burning in the night
Fireworks popping in the air
Shotgun echoing somewhere
Verse 2
Engines humming under the moon
Country song playing out of tune
Mud on our boots, smoke in the sky
Stars shining bright way up high
We circled up by that big fire glow
Talking ‘bout things only we know
Moments like that don’t cost a dime
Just good friends and a good time
Bridge
One day we’ll all go separate ways
Chasing dreams and different days
But that night felt young and free
Like that’s exactly where we’re meant to be
Chorus (Repeat)
We grabbed the keys and took off fast…
