Top Down, Sun Up

Lyrics

(Intro: All voices layering in a rhythmic "Doom-da-da, doom-da-da" beatbox and finger snaps)
(Verse 1: Male, Aiden, Tenor, Canadian Accent)
(Singing with a bright, energetic tone)
The ignition’s clicking, yeah the tank is full
Grab your shades, guys, feel that engine pull!
We’re heading out where the sky stays blue
I got the map, but I’m following the view.
Top dropped down, let the wind rush in
Got that maple-leaf glow on my summer skin!
(Ad-lib: "Let’s go, eh!")
(Verse 2: Female, Fiona, Contralto, Jamaican Accent)
(Deep, soulful tone with a rhythmic sway)
The bass is thumping, vibrating the floor
We nah stay inside, we crave something more.
Turn up the volume, make the speakers cry out
This is the feeling that life is about!
Sun on my shoulders, gold in the air
With my best people, we haven't a care.
(Ad-lib: "Lord, it feel good!")
(Chorus: All Voices - Harmonizing)
(Bouncy and staccato)
Cruising the coastline, riding the breeze
KBX style, doing just what we please!
From the heat of the road to the lake so still
We’re chasing the sun for the ultimate thrill.
(Verse 3: Male, Devon, Bass, African-American Accent)
(Deep, resonant, and smooth)
Now we pull it over, right by the lake
Take a little breather, for goodness sake.
Water’s like glass, reflecting the light
Everything’s easy, everything’s right.
Just peace and the quiet, then a splash and a laugh
The best kind of day on this summer path.
(Verse 4: Female, Becky, Mezzo-Soprano, Korean Accent)
(Sweet, melodic, and crisp)
The sun starts dipping, turning orange and red
But the party is living inside of my head!
Now we hit the city, the neon is calling
Into the club where the rhythm is falling.
Heels on the wood, yeah we’re owning the floor
When the lights go down, we’re asking for more!
(Rap Bridge: Aiden & Becky)
(Aiden - Fast, rhythmic flow)
Look, we’re shifting the gears, we’re moving the pace
From the lakeside chill to this crowded space.
I’m the North Star shining, I’m leading the pack
Once we start the engine, ain't no turning back!
(Becky - Sharp, punchy delivery)
Check the tempo, I’m keeping it tight
KBX shining under strobe-light white.
From the club to the crib for the after-vibe
You can’t find a better or a tighter tribe!
(Aiden & Becky together)
We’re the fire in the night, we’re the cool in the day
The KBX way—now watch us play!
(Outro: All Voices)
(Fading out with Devon providing a deep bass line)
(Devon: "To the crib now... yeah...")
(Fiona: "Keep it grooving...")
(Aiden: "What a day, man...")
(Becky: "Don't let it end...")
(All together in a final harmony)
The sun goes down, but we stay bright...
KBX... out for the night.
(Final snap)
