Paul’s Puttin’ Around

Lyrics

Intro
Chrome shine
Sun down
Bandana tight
Yeah, he runs this town (hey!)

Verse 1
Name’s Paul
Little gut, big grin
Oil on his jeans
Bug on his chin
Work boots by day
Clock out, he gone
Keys hit metal
That road turns home

He got a patch on his jacket
From a ride last June
Hair whipping in the wind
Howlin’ at the moon
Neighbors shake heads
When they hear that sound
But he just laughs, says
“I’m just puttin’ around”

Chorus
Paul’s puttin’ around
On that Harley, Harley
Small-town king
Of the backroad party
Kickstand up
Let the worries fall down
Life don’t chase him
He’s just puttin’ around

Paul’s puttin’ around
That rumble so loud
Every curve he leans
Got him feelin’ proud
One hand up
Other hand on the crown
Yeah, life’s his highway
He’s just puttin’ around (woo)

Verse 2
Gas station coffee
Scratch-off, two bucks
Old boys holler
“Paul, what’s up?”
He just smirks
Says “same ol’ same”
But that throttle twist
Lightin’ up his veins

County line sign
Like a starting gun
Dust in the mirror
Chasin’ down the sun
Ain’t runnin’ from a thing
He just loves that sound
Heartbeat syncing
He’s just puttin’ around

Chorus
Paul’s puttin’ around
On that Harley, Harley
Small-town king
Of the backroad party
Kickstand up
Let the worries fall down
Life don’t chase him
He’s just puttin’ around

Paul’s puttin’ around
That rumble so loud
Every curve he leans
Got him feelin’ proud
One hand up
Other hand on the crown
Yeah, life’s his highway
He’s just puttin’ around (oh yeah)

Bridge
Ain’t rich, ain’t fancy
Just a man and his ride
But it feels like freedom
Every mile he slides
When the world gets heavy
He don’t break, don’t drown
He just fires that engine
And goes puttin’ around

Chorus
Paul’s puttin’ around
On that Harley, Harley
Small-town king
Of the backroad party
Kickstand up
Let the worries fall down
Life don’t chase him
He’s just puttin’ around

Paul’s puttin’ around
That rumble so loud
Every curve he leans
Got him feelin’ proud
One hand up
Other hand on the crown
Yeah, life’s his highway
He’s just puttin’ around (puttin’ around)
