hunt the shangri'la

Lyrics

Verse 1
The Romulan shadows came in cold
Black on the scanner, red on the hold
Shangri-La took fire in the throat
Hull seams split like a knife in tow
Crew by crew, the decks went dark
First officer stood with a burning spark

Pre-Chorus
Raise the shields, hold the line
We bled for every meter of time
Then the order came down hard
Hunt her down, tear apart the scar

Chorus
Hunt the Shangri-La
Hunt the Shangri-La
Bring her back in flame
Bring her back in flame
Hunt the Shangri-La
Hunt the Shangri-La
We were made to chase
We were made to break

Verse 2
Wyvern took the wake and ran
A sister ship with a Starfleet plan
Long months under dead gray skies
Following ghosts through the burn and ice
Then the trail lit up at last
There she was, a wound from the past

Pre-Chorus
Enemy breath on the scope
One more shot, one last hope
No one spoke, nobody prayed
Just the roar of the engines raised

Chorus
Hunt the Shangri-La
Hunt the Shangri-La
Bring her back in flame
Bring her back in flame
Hunt the Shangri-La
Hunt the Shangri-La
We were made to chase
We were made to break

Bridge
But on the bridge, the first officer stared
At the shattered names the battle spared
Now the same old hull was wrong, not home
A ghost in the dark, a ship alone
Then every gun lit the night like rain
And the final shot split the chain

Final Chorus
Hunt the Shangri-La
Hunt the Shangri-La
Bring her back in flame
Bring her back in flame
Hunt the Shangri-La
Hunt the Shangri-La
She rose through fire
Then vanished in fire
