Legion Falls (Chains Let Go)

Lyrics

Verse 1
He was split in two
By a name like chains
Night had made a home
In his bones and veins
He cried out raw
Nothing held him still
Then Jesus stood near
And said, "What is your name?"

Pre-Chorus
He said, "Many are here"
In a borrowed tongue
But mercy was rising
And the darkness shook
No prison can stand
When the Savior speaks
No curse stays strong
At the feet of the King

Chorus
Legion falls
Legion falls
At the name of Jesus
Legion falls
Legion falls
Chains let go, chains let go
When Jesus says, "Come out"
Every demon has to bow

Verse 2
The spirits begged low
"Do not send us away"
They searched for a shadow
A place they could stay
But on that hillside
There were pigs on the run
And Jesus gave the word
And the whole thing was done

Pre-Chorus
They fled the man
Like sparks in the rain
The herd hit the slope
And the waters took them
What held him back
Could not hold him now
A soul once bound
Was standing free somehow

Chorus
Legion falls
Legion falls
At the name of Jesus
Legion falls
Legion falls
Chains let go, chains let go
When Jesus says, "Come out"
Every demon has to bow

Bridge
If You can free him
You can free me too
If You can speak peace
Then speak it through
To every grave
To every hidden place
Jesus, call me by Your name
And break these gates

Final Chorus
Legion falls
Legion falls
At the name of Jesus
Legion falls
Legion falls
Chains let go, chains let go
When Jesus says, "Come out"
Every demon has to bow
Legion falls
Legion falls
And the man stands up whole
