Psalm 34 Promise

Lyrics

Verse 1
Trouble found me low
Bones felt worn and thin
But You kept me standing
Right where grace begins

Pain had its witness
Night tried to stay
Still I heard Your promise
Not one bone break away

Pre-Chorus
Many are the sorrows
Many are the cries
Still the Lord is near me
He lifts up my eyes

Chorus
He delivers the righteous
He delivers, yes He does
He delivers the righteous
My hope is in the Lord (in the Lord)
He keeps me standing
He keeps me standing
My hope is in the Lord (in the Lord)

Verse 2
Evil dug a pitfall
Set a trap in shame
But mercy met me first, child
And called my holy name

You saw every injustice
You heard every plea
Now the wicked face the judgment
And the just are running free

Pre-Chorus
Many are the sorrows
Many are the cries
Still the Lord is near me
He lifts up my eyes

Chorus
He delivers the righteous
He delivers, yes He does
He delivers the righteous
My hope is in the Lord (in the Lord)
He keeps me standing
He keeps me standing
My hope is in the Lord (in the Lord)

Bridge
I was bruised, but not broken
I was tested, still chosen
Every tear got a witness
Every wound got a purpose

Say the name, He is faithful
Say the name, He is just
When the storm tried to claim me
I stood up in His trust

Final Chorus
He delivers the righteous
He delivers, yes He does
He delivers the righteous
My hope is in the Lord (in the Lord)
He keeps me standing
He keeps me standing
My hope is in the Lord (in the Lord)

He delivers the righteous
He delivers, yes He does
He delivers the righteous
My hope is in the Lord (in the Lord)
He keeps me standing
He keeps me standing
My hope is in the Lord (in the Lord)
