Rex of the Yamato

Lyrics

Verse 1
On the bridge in silver glow
Rex stands still, eyes set to know
Protogen frame and captain's mind
Every star map wound in time

He checks the seals, he calls the wheel
Runs that ship like forged steel
USS Yamato, cut through black
Rex at the front, he never backs

Pre-Chorus
Red alerts in the deep
Enemy wakes, but the crew don't sleep
Shields up high, engines roar
He says, "Hold fast, we fight for more"

Chorus
Rex on the Yamato
Rex on the Yamato
Raise the line, let the lasers go
Rex on the Yamato

Rex on the Yamato
Rex on the Yamato
Klingon fire, Romulan smoke
Rex on the Yamato

Verse 2
Klingon blades through the cold
He reads the trap, calm and bold
Romulan lies in a mirrored veer
He cuts the shadow, crystal clear

Shangri'la comes off the flank
Wyvern dives and breaks their ranks
Three hulls moving as one bright tide
Rex at the helm with iron pride

Pre-Chorus
Red alerts in the deep
Enemy wakes, but the crew don't sleep
Shields up high, engines roar
He says, "Hold fast, we fight for more"

Chorus
Rex on the Yamato
Rex on the Yamato
Raise the line, let the lasers go
Rex on the Yamato

Rex on the Yamato
Rex on the Yamato
Klingon fire, Romulan smoke
Rex on the Yamato

Bridge
Silent stars, then the burst
One sharp order, enemy dispersed
Shangri'la to his starboard side
Wyvern snarls and tears the night

He lifts his chin, the deck stays true
Every soul there trusts him through
"Full ahead" through the shattered haze
Captain Rex, made for these days

Final Chorus
Rex on the Yamato
Rex on the Yamato
Raise the line, let the lasers go
Rex on the Yamato

Rex on the Yamato
Rex on the Yamato
Klingon fire, Romulan smoke
Rex on the Yamato

Rex on the Yamato
Rex on the Yamato
Three ships rise and the dark breaks slow
Rex on the Yamato
