Back to the Light (Nicole's song)

Lyrics

**Verse 1**
Nikki J Bird, My big sis, My best friend,
You walked through fire with a quiet grace,
Came out the other side with a brighter face
Every scar tells a story, every tear made room
For a stronger kind of blooming in the aftermath of gloom

When the night got heavy, you still held on
Even when the road felt dark and long
Now the sun hits different when you walk in the room
Like heaven left a little light in you

**Pre-Chorus**
And I’ve seen the way you rise
With those tears still in your eyes
There’s a fire in your heart
That the world could never hide

**Chorus**
Oh sis, you shine like morning light
You made it through the storm and you’re still alive
Beautiful, brave, with a faith so true
Jesus brought you back, and He carried you through
Oh sis, you shine, you shine so bright
A living testimony, a diamond in the night
We lift our hands, we sing it loud
You’re loved, you’re strong, and you’re standing proud

**Verse 2**
Yeah, you been through the pressure, been through the pain
Still you came back dancing in the pouring rain
Look at that smile, look at that glow
Grace on your steps wherever you go

They couldn’t break your spirit, couldn’t dim your flame
You kept calling on Jesus through the hurt and shame
Now your heart’s wide open, your spirit unchained
And I thank God for the miracle in your name

**Pre-Chorus**
And I’ve seen the way you rise
With those tears still in your eyes
There’s a fire in your heart
That the world could never hide

**Chorus**
Oh sis, you shine like morning light
You made it through the storm and you’re still alive
Beautiful, brave, with a faith so true
Jesus brought you back, and He carried you through
Oh sis, you shine, you shine so bright
A living testimony, a diamond in the night
We lift our hands, we sing it loud
You’re loved, you’re strong, and you’re standing proud

**Bridge**
For every broken road, for every sleepless night
For every time you had to fight to find the light
Now look at where you are, look how far you’ve come
Heaven wrote a victory in what He’s done
