Look Closer

Lyrics

Verse 1
I used to just stare up
At points of burning light
But when I opened my eyes
You turned my sight to light

What I called distance
Was closer than I knew
Every line in the heavens
Was pointing me to You

Pre-Chorus
And the sky started speaking
In a holy chain of signs
One name holding another
Across the seams of time

Chorus
Look closer, look closer
The stars are talking
Look closer, look closer
Heaven is walking
Open your eyes and see
It all comes clear to me
Look closer, look closer
We are connected

Verse 2
I see the hand of mercy
In the ordering above
Not just glitter in darkness
But a message made of love

The whole is telling the story
From the first spark to the end
What seemed like separate fires
Were holy threads You sent

Pre-Chorus
And the sky started speaking
In a holy chain of signs
One name holding another
Across the seams of time

Chorus
Look closer, look closer
The stars are talking
Look closer, look closer
Heaven is walking
Open your eyes and see
It all comes clear to me
Look closer, look closer
We are connected

Bridge
When I stop and behold them
The pattern starts to sing
One light answering another
Like a choir to the King

They lean into the night
Like messengers in flight
And every shining word
Pulls my soul to the light

Chorus
Look closer, look closer
The stars are talking
Look closer, look closer
Heaven is walking
Open your eyes and see
It all comes clear to me
Look closer, look closer
We are connected

Outro
Pay attention
To their message
Look closer
Look closer
